Shawn Kontrec
I grew up in the provinces of France, about 5.5 hours Southeast of Paris. I moved to my second home, Minnesota, in 2015 thanks to my bi-national family (a gift precious to so many who can’t get US citizenship and which I do not take for granted!) and have been here since. I love it here and don’t plan on moving back. I studied finance in college and then worked in corporate real estate for a few years before transitioning to banking in a credit analyst role where I dug into small business financials – my heart and soul. I met my wife, Karen, who is fine with the jokes by the way, and made the best decision of my life – to propose to her – in January 2022.
